Rep. Anne Hughes is serving in her fourth term in the Connecticut General Assembly, proudly representing the 135th House District — Easton, Redding, and Weston.
A Licensed Master Social Worker, Anne brings a unique perspective to the legislature — grounded in real-world experience protecting vulnerable populations and advocating for systemic change.
She serves on the Aging Committee, the Energy and Technology Committee, the Human Services Committee, and the Labor and Public Employees Committee. She co-chairs the Complex Care Committee of MAPOC and has been a member of the Commission on Environmental Standards for Offshore Wind since 2019.
Anne co-chairs the House Progressive Democratic Caucus and is a proud member of the Bipartisan Women's Caucus, the Animal Advocacy Caucus, the Social Work Caucus, the Climate Caucus, and the Reproductive Justice Caucus.
She graduated Cum Laude from the College of New Rochelle and earned her Master of Social Work at the University of New England. She teaches at the Campaign Academy for Electing Social Workers. Anne lives in Easton with her husband, Tim.
